Welcome to Local AI! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Local AI mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, strictly on a device that you own or control.
You retain full ownership of everything you type and every AI-generated response (collectively, "User Content"). Because the App runs 100% on-device, your User Content is stored only on your device. We have no access to it, and we make no claim over it.
You are solely responsible for your User Content, including its legality, and for making any backups you may need.
You agree not to use the App to:
Free users are shown ads via Google AdMob during normal app use — periodically during chat sessions and as a banner while downloading AI models. Ads are served by Google and subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.
An Ad-Free subscription removes all ads from the app. Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and managed via RevenueCat. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
We do not offer refunds beyond what Apple or Google provides under their respective refund policies.
AI models are third-party files downloaded from Hugging Face over the internet. We make no warranty about their accuracy, safety, or fitness for any particular purpose. Model availability may change without notice.
Downloaded models are stored on your device and count toward your device's storage usage. Once downloaded, models run fully offline — no further internet connection is needed to use them.

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Responses are generated by locally-running AI models. We do not author, control, or endorse these responses. The AI can and will make mistakes — it may produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or offensive content. Use outputs critically and verify important information independently.
Nothing generated by the App constitutes legal, medical, financial, psychological, or any other professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for such matters.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of Local AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
